Sadly, many enter giveaways on various blogs but they do not have their settings set correctly, to allow bloggers to contact them if they win. SewCalGal maintains a list of such people and encourages everyone to periodically check this list: "WANTED: Quilters that never win at giveaways".
Also, there are many ways to follow a blog (e.g. Blogluvin, Email/RssFeeds, Google/Reader, etc). But, you may "also" want to be a "Public Followers" too! Just be sure you have your Google Profile settings to publicly show blogs you are following, as many bloggers that host giveaways use this profile to verify you are following them. You may also want to read a previous post I wrote on Public Followers to better understand and see how to check your profile.
